Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to plan and set up the job site, preparation and maintenance of Project Schedule and ensure the life/ safety plans are developed and implimented.
  • Oversee and the Assistant Superintendent for scheduling of materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors to ensure project schedule and quality are met.
  • Review and approve the updated project schedule that the Assistant Site Superintendednt will distribute to all subcontractors.
  • Monitor the pace and quality of work.
  • Work with the Project Manager to prepare status reports and regularly monitor deliveries, subcontractors and schedules. 
  • Oversee and direct the allocation of project resources appropriately (manpower, materials and equipment) through phone conversations and emails keeping accurate records of daily activities.
  • Supervise entire construction field staff, ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Ability to anticipate and overcome project challenges
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Project Managers
  • Lead daily/weekly meetings to ensure the team is working together successfully and delivering quality work
  • Manage and maintain project safety
  • Maintain OSHA requirements at all times
  • Participate in OAC meetings as required
  • Mentor less experienced construction professionals
  • Track project documentation, tasks, issues, etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors
  • The ability to become proficient in Procore
  • Travel will be required.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 4-year degree in a construction related field or commensurate field experience.
  • 5-7 years work experience in garden style multifamily construction site supervision with proven ability to use multiple types of software to efficiently manage projects.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties.
