HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial drywall construction projects across the DFW Metroplex. This role involves supervising site operations, ensuring projects meet quality standards, schedules, and profitability targets, and mentoring construction teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor field staff, promoting training and professional development.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols; participate actively in safety training programs.
  • Validate subcontractors’ insurance and compliance documentation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed CPM project schedules.
  • Foster strong relationships with owners and architects to build confidence and facilitate communication.
  • Recruit, organize, train, and lead construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Uphold and reinforce stringent quality control standards.
  • Manage timely procurement of materials and tools, proactively avoiding emergency purchasing.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, including daily logs, time sheets, and work orders.
  • Oversee timely completion and documentation of punch lists.
  • Regularly update leadership on project status, budgets, productivity, and schedules.
  • Lead and participate in pre-job conferences and routine subcontractor meetings.
  • Limited manual work, performed only under exceptional circumstances.
  • Travel as required; capable of managing multiple projects across varying locations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience specifically in commercial drywall construction.
  • Proven ability overseeing multiple concurrent projects and supervising other Superintendents.
  • Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction crafts, with proven hands-on experience in at least one trade.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, job scheduling, planning, cost control, and problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with an urgent approach to task management.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) proficiency is highly preferred.
