The Construction Team Lead is a hands-on working leader responsible for executing and leading interior and exterior capital improvement projects across a multifamily portfolio.

This role is not a desk position. The ideal candidate is a licensed or master plumber who works in the field daily, leads from the front, and manages a small construction crew while actively performing skilled trade work.

Projects range from targeted repairs to full unit rehabs. The role blends technical execution, crew leadership, and on-site decision-making.

    • Interior unit repairs and renovations
    • Full unit rehabs including cabinets, drywall, paint, and fixture installation
  • Diagnose issues in the field and implement durable, code-compliant solutions.
  • Step into active production during high-priority or time-sensitive projects.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage a crew of 2–5 construction team members.
  • Work alongside the team while setting pace, standards, and expectations.
  • Assign daily tasks, sequence work, and ensure quality execution.
  • Train, coach, and develop crew members across skill sets.
  • Hold the team accountable to safety, workmanship, and timelines.

Project Oversight

  • Lead on-site execution for assigned CapEx projects.
  • Identify scope, materials, labor needs, and sequencing.
  • Coordinate with vendors or subcontractors when specialty work is required.

  • Communicate progress, issues, and needs to leadership.
