We currently have the opportunity for a Construction & Utilities Foreman to join our team in Kalispell, MT.


Key Functions


  • Responsible for daily productivity and adherence to project schedules. Must have the ability to build, develop, and direct field crew.

  • Involvement with all facets of the construction process; from pre-construction to close-out

  • Manages daily activities including: jobsite(s) management, planning and sequencing, scheduling, monitoring job cost, daily entry of crew hours and task reporting, materials coordination, subcontractor management, and management of all resources associated with assigned project(s).

  • Maintains professional business relationships internally and externally

  • Mentors others to promote growth from within the company

  • Assures compliance with Company Safety policies and OSHA regulations

  • Support safety, loss prevention, EEO, risk management, training, and quality control programs

  • Ensures jobsites and company assets are safely maintained and secure

  • May be expected to perform field work and operate heavy equipment

  • Demonstrates commitment to an injury-free work environment


Qualifications


  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a foreman
  • Experience managing people 

  • OSHA competent person training preferred

  • Successfully completed OSHA 40 training preferred

  • HAZWOPER training also preferred

 

Specific Skills


  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Advanced knowledge in construction planning and sequencing, construction equipment, production and scheduling, reading and comprehending plans and specifications, and material specifications

  • Working knowledge of water, sewer and storm drainage set up and installation including the use of pipe lasers and grading instruments

  • Occasional use of heavy equipment and power tools

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes

  • Ability to be creative and is solutions oriented

  • Flexible with changing priorities and remain professional in stressful situations

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

  • Work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations

 

Compensation


  • Hourly rate of pay is based on experience with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage applying to a many of our projects.

    • Years 2 & 3 – Employer covers 90% of total (family) premiums

    • Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of total (family) premiums
