Description

The Dedicated Construction Project Manager is a team player who is responsible for taking the lead role in managing fuel construction projects for a major National Account. Your day as a Construction Project Manager will be a mix of communication, collaboration, and problem-solving as you oversee all aspects of multiple construction projects from inception to completion. You’ll start by reviewing project updates and progress reports, ensuring Key Performance Indicators like safety, quality, cost, and schedule are on track. A large part of your day will be spent engaging with stakeholders—including internal Sr Leaders and Operations, contractors, engineers, architects, vendors, and regulatory bodies—providing clear and concise updates while facilitating effective decision-making.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Supports a major National Account
  • Participates in meetings as required by client
  • Prepares Project Plan including objectives, methodologies, strategy, and critical milestones
  • Defines Project Scope, Goals, and Deliverables across your Projects
  • Prepares and manages Project Budgets for each Project
  • Coordinates Plans, Schedules, and Project Timelines
  • Maintains current statuses to provide visibility to the client
  • Coordinates multiple vendors and contractors across various trades to achieve overall program goals
  • Tracks vendor and contractor deliverables across multisite projects
  • Leads and Directs Project Team, whether internal or third-party
  • Reports and Communicates Progress of Project to Project Stakeholders
  • Coordinates project closeout and necessary documentation with vendor and brand
  • Tracks Issue Resolution/punch list


Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Project Manager in enterprise-wide programs
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Having a minimum of two years reviewing invoices, costs, and profitability for a project
  • Experience in Petroleum Equipment Industry managing Tank Replacement or Fuel Upgrade Projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Outlook and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of fuel system assessment, repair, and maintenance
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Critical thinker and problem solver, able to interpret data
  • Clear and deliberate communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to other states as the job demands
  • Ability to successfully manage and complete a high volume of work at any given time
  • Function in an open environment without becoming distracted
  • Perform analysis on large data sets with the ability to break them into logical segments
  • Willingness to be cross trained to support the team as the need arises
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company. 
  • Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
