We are seeking an experienced Director Colocation Infrastructure Construction Delivery to lead a team overseeing the construction of data centers performed by colocation providers. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are managed effectively to meet schedule, quality, and design requirements.
NOTE: This position located in Abilene, TX and one must live in the area no more than one month after starting the position. Travel maybe required. Relocation assistance is available. Full-time with full Oracle Benefits.

This role’s team will focus on the base building and MEP infrastructure portions of the project. They will be required to coordinate with the DCIB teams that are executing the tenant fit out data hall white space projects separately.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term standards and strategies for data center colocation construction projects delivery certainty at a large scale campus.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Project Oversight: Lead and manage the construction oversight efforts of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Contract Management: Review and understand complex data center leases and contracts. Verify management of projects in compliance with active contracts.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary leadership point of contact between the company and colocation providers. Ensure clear and effective communication between all internal and external stakeholders.
Schedule Management: Implement schedule review procedures to find opportunities, uncover risks and develop a high level of confidence in project delivery.
Risk Evaluation: Analyze projects independently to evaluate the risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation and inform the business of associated potential impacts. Escalation risks appropriately across organizations.
Risk Management: Develop, implement and track mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Reporting: Ensure processes are in place to provide timely, accurate, detailed internal reports for executive level consumption.
Tenant Fit Out Integration: Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the separate scope of tenant fit out projects with the DCIB teams leading these efforts.
Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
Design Coordination: Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.
Full-time, onsite presence in Abilene: to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality will be required throughout the life of the project on a regular basis.
Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance data center performance and sustainability.
Attend meetings held in various time zones to support live engagement and support of international projects.
Required Skills Include:
Proven project leadership experience in overseeing teams managing complex campus projects.
Heavy knowledge of base building data center construction- civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing. Additionally, one must bring strong skills in the following areas:
