Initially, this role will require significant travel to job sites to establish processes, build relationships with teams, and ensure consistent project execution standards. Over time, travel will scale back as teams become fully established.
Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and oversight to Superintendents and field crews across multiple construction projects.
· Directly manage construction activities, including scheduling, resource planning, and subcontractor coordination.
· Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance to ensure all work aligns with company standards and client expectations.
· Support bidding and preconstruction efforts, including reviewing scopes of work and assisting with subcontractor procurement.
· Lead weekly project meetings, including internal updates and client-facing communications.
· Develop and implement field operations policies and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.
· Assist with material procurement planning and logistics to minimize delays and maximize cost efficiency.
· Perform regular site visits to monitor job site performance, resolve issues, and mentor field staff.
· Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, adjusting plans as needed to address delays or challenges.
· Conduct performance reviews, training, and career development for Superintendents and field staff.
· Build a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate closely with the COO and executive team to align field operations with overall company goals.
· Traveling Required: some in state as well as out of state. Possible travel areas include: Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Connecticut, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, New York.
Qualifications:
· 7–10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent managing ground-up commercial projects; multi-project management experience strongly preferred.
· Proven leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.
· Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and quality control.
· Proficient in construction management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· OSHA 30-hour certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
· Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to travel extensively during the initial phase (travel requirements will scale back over time).
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent field experience.
