The Director of Public Relations helps shape and strengthen the presence of Swig across communities, media, and
digital platforms. This role is responsible for developing and executing PR
strategies that build Swigs’ awareness, support Swigs’ growth, and creates
meaningful connections with customers, team members, and partners.
The

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Develop
and execute public relations strategies that support Swig's goals, campaigns,
store openings, and Swig initiatives
- Build and
maintain relationships with trade and industry publications as well as local,
regional, and national media outlets and reporters
- Write and
distribute briefings, press releases, media pitches, talking points, and
external communications
- Coordinate
media coverage for grand openings, events, partnerships, and community
involvement opportunities
- Identify
storytelling opportunities that highlight growth, culture, team members,
guests, and community impact
- Partner
with Marketing, Operations, Recruiting, and Leadership teams to ensure
consistent brand messaging
- Support
reputation management efforts and assist with crisis communication when needed
- Help
amplify and protect the Swigs voice, culture, and values across all external
communication
- Partner
to manage influencer, ambassador, and community partnership opportunities
- Monitor
media coverage, social sentiment, and industry trends
- Track and
report PR performance metrics and brand visibility
- Manage
and/or coordinate with Swig’s external PR and marketing firms
- Coordinate with
Franchise PR Agency and manage the PR toolkit/playbook for franchisees,
including providing PR training and media relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related
field preferred
- 8-10+ years of experience in public relations, communications, media relations, or
brand marketing
- Experience in restaurant, QSR, hospitality,
franchise, or retail industries preferred
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
- Strong
relationship-building and networking abilities
- Ability
to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Creative
thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience
with social media trends and digital brand storytelling preferred
- Experience
in crisis communications
- Ability
to remain calm, proactive, and solutions-oriented in high-pressure situations
- Professional
presence and ability to represent the Swig brand effectively
