Description

This position will assist the Craft Superintendents in building Testing & Turnover Packages as well as vetting line lists and P&IDs. Additionally, this position will also assist the Completions group with "walk down" validations of in specification adherence.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Review all project specifications related to piping fabrication, installation and testing
  • Define the different types of tests (Hydrostatic, Pneumatic, Visual, etc).
  • Validate Line List for accuracy and provide Engineering with any discrepancies found
  • Identify Sub-System limit/breaks
  • Identify test limit and location of isolation valves (valve close), spectacle blinds (SB close), blind flanges, temporary spools, remove internal, test plugs and Golden Joints on P&ID/Isometric drawings with Symbology in Doc-Console.
  • Build test packages in ConstructSim to provide visual representation
  • Validate documents included in Work Packages
  • Verifying proper installation of piping, supports and components per jobsite specifications prior to testing
  • Verifying reinstatement of all components after testing and commissioning activities have been completed and accepted
  • Initiating scheduled walkdowns for system completion and turnover process


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 1-12 months of industrial construction experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong decision-making ability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former Zachry employee
  • 1+ years of industrial construction experience
  • Experience compiling craft specific work and test packaging
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Isometrics and other construction related drawings

Physical Requirements

  • Employee may be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
  • Will talk and hear to communicate.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 25lbs (occasionally more).
  • Occasionally be required to spend time on the construction site and will need to have the ability to walk and climb various outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to work alone and with others including craft, planners, managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
