Position Overview

The Electrical Construction Recruiter is responsible for executing comprehensive recruitment strategies across trade and professional positions. This role requires independent decision-making and candidate evaluation processes that directly impact organizational talent acquisition success. The recruiter exercises discretionary judgment in development while partnering with leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops recruiting plans for assigned positions and projects to determine sourcing strategies, timeline priorities, and resource allocation based on business needs and market conditions.
  • Exercises independent judgment in identifying, evaluating, and building relationships with candidates.
  • Assess market analysis to better understand candidate landscape, geographic talent availability, and industry trends.
  • Adheres to candidate evaluation protocols, conducting in-depth interviews and assessments to determine work history, education, skill level, licensing, training, and compensation requirements.
  • Refines recruitment processes for sourcing, pre-qualification, assessment, interview, offer and onboarding candidates, with authority to modify procedures based on effectiveness analysis and business requirements.
  • Maintains comprehensive candidate tracking systems and performance metrics, to determine KPI standards and implement process improvements to optimizer recruitment outcomes.
  • Manages networks and partnerships to identify qualified active and passive candidates, including establishing relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and industry contacts.
  • Utilizes social media and digital engagement campaigns for passive candidate recruitment that align with organizational branding and talent acquisition goals.
  • Maintains strategic relationships with managers and employees to optimize candidate sourcing and referral programs.
  • Analyzes recruitment data and market trends to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned to advance organizational talent acquisition effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure optimal talent acquisition processes and organizational success.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and specialized recruiting experience.
  • Experience using recruiting software and ATS platforms

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in both field and corporate recruitment with proven planning and decision making preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in high volume recruiting and sourcing with proven track record of process optimization (construction industry experience preferred.)
  • Analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and make independent decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize multiple initiatives and manage complex recruiting projects.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and planning skills with proven ability to influence organizational decisions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple industries including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, audio visual, and telecom/utility construction with ability to develop industry-specific recruiting strategies.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish (speaking, reading, writing) preferred for expanded candidate reach.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check and maintain professional standards
