Electrical Pre-Construction Manager
Cummings Electrical, a leading provider of electrical contracting services in DFW, is growing! We are currently looking for an ELECTRICAL PRE-CONSTRUCTION MANAGER to join our Estimating and Business Development team. Come see why people are choosing Cummings over other companies!
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent industry experience (preferred) 
• 6 years estimating experience with an electrical contractor 
• Must have experience with large commercial and industrial projects (concept to close-out) 
• Knowledge of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong employment stability
• Experience with Accubid and/or Conest 
• Knowledge of and/or experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Qualifications: 
• Support Business Development in proposal presentations, interviews etc, and support Sales/Marketing in building General Contractor and Architect/Engineer relationships 
• Responsible for the preparation of preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction 
• Initiate and maintain contact with General Contractors and Architect and Engineering firms
• Participates in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering, value analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews 
• Identify new work opportunities 
• Monitor cost trends 
• Evaluate and analyzing subcontractor proposals 
• Participation in the preparation of construction schedule for estimating purposes 
• Responsible for discussing staffing requirements with operations in preparation of building a project team
