Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of electro-mechanical equipment, including but not limited to conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and foam production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct repairs and replace defective components, such as motors, drives, bearings, sensors, and control systems.
  • Maintain and service electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, PLCs, and HMIs.

2. Equipment Monitoring:

  • Regularly inspect equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Monitor and record equipment performance, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment conditions and predict maintenance needs.

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Actively participate in lockout/tagout procedures and maintain documentation.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replaced, and preventive maintenance performed.
  • Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and plant personnel to resolve maintenance issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Assist with the implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and enhance equipment utilization.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on maintenance strategies and improvements.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electro-mechanical technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
