Job Title: ERP Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction industry processes and practices, along with expertise in ERP systems tailored for construction management. This role requires a proactive professional who can bridge the gap between technical ERP solutions and real-world construction operations to ensure successful system implementations and optimizations. This is a work-from-home position that requires approximately 40% travel to client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary resource for ERP solutions related to construction management, providing in-depth expertise and guidance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into effective ERP workflows and configurations.
  • Lead system implementation, upgrades, and optimization projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for users to ensure successful ERP adoption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues in collaboration with technical teams and users.
  • Analyze construction processes and recommend improvements leveraging ERP functionality.
  • Document system configurations, process flows, and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and emerging ERP technologies in construction.
  • Travel to client and company locations to conduct on-site assessments, training, and support (approximately 40% of the time).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction field, with a solid understanding of construction operations and workflows.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems, preferably in a construction-focused environment (e.g., COINS ERP+, Procore, Viewpoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP system implementation or system administration.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of construction-specific financial management practices.
