Description

We are seeking a diligent Estimator to join our team at Viva Railings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for our railing projects, ensuring they align with the client's budget and our company's standards. This role involves close collaboration with contractors and internal teams to evaluate risks, estimate timelines, and maintain the financial integrity of projects.

WHAT WE DO:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review ITBs and Construct Connect for various projects to bid, with a focus on structural constructions and railing systems.

  • Manage multiple bid projects, demonstrating the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

  • Utilize software such as Bluebeam and Stack Estimating for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

  • Gather information from project sites, warehouses, and other relevant venues for accurate estimation.

  • Correspond with customers and quote projects, maintaining strong communication and relationship management.

  • Conduct risk analysis to identify financial or project-related risks and maintain and document project objectives.

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, determining costs related to raw materials, purchased services, and labor.

  • Provide consultation on project planning, including schedules, manpower needs, and detailed estimate reports or bids.



Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • Experience: Experience as an Estimator in structural construction or a related industry, with a solid understanding of the US bid process.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge: Practical knowledge of commercial construction methods and principles, with emphasis on Architectural, Interiors, Structural drawing packages, and railing systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction documents and technical data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a focus on customer correspondence and vendor relationship development.
  • Multi-task Oriented: Well-organized, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Practical Knowledge: Knowledge of railing systems, and miscellaneous metals and other relevant structural metals .
  • Ability to develop, maintain vendor relationships, and interpret bidding process and bid documents associated with assigned projects.
