Summary

BGT's Estimator will complete interior finish estimates for multi-family new construction projects and work with the estimating team to ensure project priorities and workflow support company growth. This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality estimates within the acceptable turn-around time, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. He/She will work closely with the Lead Estimator to provide support to the team in completing tasks efficiently and accurately while ensuring that client service expectations are met or exceeded.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Works with estimating team to provide quantity take-offs and estimating services.
  • Responsible for the delivery of detailed estimates with acceptable turn-around time, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Reviews drawings, specifications, and project conditions to create Take-Offs for materials and labor.
  • Communicate with vendors for pricing on specified products, as well as our internal Production Team for accurate labor costs.
  • Submit RFI's to the client when needed to ensure accuracy on BGT's bids.
  • Work closely with the Lead Estimator and Sales Department to complete bids efficiently and accurately, while ensuring that client service expectations are met or exceeded.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, experience in the Multi-family construction industry may be considered in lieu of education

Experience

  • 2+ years in the construction estimating department industry

Skills

  • Estimating Software (OST) proficient
  • Previous experience reading blueprints and architectural drawings 
  • Knowledge of Multi-family Construction and/or interior finishes preferred
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Proficient math and computer are essential
  • Excellent communication skills and work with multiple departments
  • Proven ability to understand complex estimating projects
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage assigned projects, work-flow, and resources to ensure proposals are delivered on-time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55k -$60k per year depending on experince + Benefits and PTO
