Position Overview: We are seeking an estimator to join our team in our Vegas office. We are a successful and established general contractor with a focus on mid to large scale commercial projects throughout the Vegas area including casinos, offices, hospitals, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and vendor services. Utilize project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to assess scope and requirements.

  • Bid Management: Gather and review bids from subcontractors 

  • Scope Review and Clarification: Analyze project documents to identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential risks. Communicate with clients, architects, and general contractors to clarify project requirements and expectations.

  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and other vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships to secure favorable pricing and reliable service.

  • Cost Analysis and Value Engineering: Provide cost analysis and recommend value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.

  • Market and Industry Research: Stay informed about market trends, material costs, labor rates, and emerging technologies to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

  • Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimates align with project execution plans and schedules.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project data. Provide regular updates and reports to management on project costs and estimating activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of estimating or similar experience at a general contractor

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $90K-130K depending on experience 

  • Health, Dental, Vision plans
