POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the supervision, planning, direction and execution of work activities of maintenance personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or its equivalent GED; five (5) years work experience in building maintenance, management, construction or related field and three years of maintenance-related experience in a supervisory position; must possess valid Texas Drivers license and be insurable; must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and a criminal background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC; knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures; knowledge of MicroSoft software such as Word, Excel and Access; knowledge of EWS timekeeping system; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; knowledge of resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources; knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff; ability to lead a group or team effectively; ability to work independently or with a group; ability to plan, assign, train, direct, and evaluate subordinate staff.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is also required to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Employee works indoors and outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
