Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology invites applications for the position of Instructor of Construction Engineering Technology beginning August 2026. We are seeking a dynamic educator to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including but not limited to: Architecture Drafting, Construction Materials & Methods, Surveying, Construction Regulations, Residential and Commercial Construction Estimation, Construction Planning & Scheduling, and Project Management.
Additional responsibilities include advising students, mentoring senior design projects, and participating in service activities at the department, college, and university levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
M.S. in Civil, Construction, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field, from an accredited institution by the hire date
Prior teaching experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in a related field from an accredited institution by the time of hire
Three years of Teaching Experience in Construction-related courses
Experience with ABET and/or ATMAE accreditation processes and assessment
Industrial Experience in the same field
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Commitment to undergraduate teaching and continuous program improvement
Ability to supervise senior design projects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and service
