In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing laboratory data, providing technical support, and conducting laboratory analyses primarily focused on crude oil testing. You will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products and services, all while promoting a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot local area instrumentation, performing routine maintenance and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).
Manage laboratory data, ensuring accuracy and consistency for local area testing.
Provide technical support and hands-on training for crude oil testing to process technicians.
Conduct laboratory analysis on crude oil for custody quality measurement and product quality control.
Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or internal customers promptly.
Participate and support safety programs and meetings within the team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in ChemistryÂ
5+ years of experience with crude oil testing methods, including ICP metals analysis, high-temperature simulated distillation, and other commonly used analysis methods for crude oil samples.
Proficient in Wet Chemistry, API, ASTM, and UOP test methods within the crude oil industry.
Strong SQC experience in a laboratory setting with proficiency in supporting charts and issue identification.
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) experience, with preference for Labworks knowledge.
Excellent commitment to safety practices
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
