Job Summary:
Lead Carpenters are responsible for delivering Buffalo Restoration’s reconstruction processes and procedures in a consistent manner, including customer service, documentation and the field production of reconstruction jobs with onsite management of the Foremen and Technicians. Lead Carpenters demonstrate adequate performance by working directly with Project managers and safely delivering quality projects on time and on budget.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Balance multiple reconstruction projects and rapidly changing workload demands.
- Demonstrate practical skills and problem solving
- Ability to be perform reconstruction services including framing, insulation, drywall, painting, finish carpentry and cabinet installation.
- Estimate scope of jobs for potential customers and Estimators
- Communicate daily with Project Managers via photos and emails regarding jobs
- Get approval from Project Managers for change in scope on jobs
- Monitor progress on the projects to ensure budgets, schedules and quality requirements are met.
- Forecast resource demands and fulfill them to include setting and meeting deadlines
- Source materials with subs and technicians for the job
- Respond promptly and set expectations to customer requests and comments
- Watch for emerging job site risks and develop plans to mitigate them
- Perform and document initial walkthrough, in-progress, and final walkthrough checklists to ensure quality, safety, and scope compliance
- Maintain accurate time keeping
- Maintain job files daily
- Review project documentation for accuracy on date of majority of completion
- Assist in the maintenance of company equipment
- Keep electronic devices up to date and most current software required
- Responsibilities may be amended, added or deleted as needed.
Supervisory Duties (if applicable):
- Practice basic HR law and staff management skills
- Hold reconstruction specific meetings with Foreman and Technicians
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years construction experience
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
- Must meet the company’s insurability requirements for driving
Competencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to accurately maintain multiple software and data systems.
- Knowledge and adherence to building codes.
- Proficiency with electronic devices and job management applications.
- Proficient in all aspects of construction framing, insulation, drywall finish carpentry and cabinets.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to think on your feet to solve problems that arise on the job.
- Well-organized, self-motivated, innovative, accurate, collaborative, and analytical.
- Perform technician job duties as needed

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Ability to help a team member lift a 140# object into a truck
- Ability to work long hours when needed
- Ability to move safely on uneven ground and in tight space such as attics and crawlspaces
- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to read and follow instructions for handling power tools
- Ability to don full protective gear, including respirators for inspections and be willing to do it consistently
- Ability to provide your own hand tools, appropriate for your work
