Load Builder - Truss

As a Load Builder, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our distribution processes. Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately assemble loads of trusses for delivery, following established guidelines and safety protocols.
• Read and interpret work orders to understand specific customer requirements for each load.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of required truss components for assembly.
• Utilize forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move trusses and materials, adhering to safety procedures.
• Conduct quality checks on assembled loads to ensure they meet Mill Creek Truss' standards before dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the load building process.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues, changes, or special requirements related to load building.
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to create a secure working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a load builder or in a similar role within the construction or building materials industry.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Proficient in the operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment; valid forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in load assembly to meet customer specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual labor, including lifting heavy truss components.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a secure workplace.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
