LUT-Warehouseman Helper 3

Job Overview:  

The Warehouse Helper 1 is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic physical labor and general support duties across the Receiving, Shipping, and Stockroom areas. This role focuses on learning safety protocols and the fundamentals of material organization and movement under direct supervision. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the Receiving area by unloading non-critical freight manually from trucks and checking simple documentation (e.g., packing slips)
• Perform routine general housekeeping and cleaning of the warehouse, racks, bins, and laydown areas
• Transport and arrange materials using non-powered material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) within the Stockroom and Staging areas
• Assist in the counting and identification of loose items during basic Inventory procedures
• Assist in the Shipping area by packaging, wrapping, applying labels, and loading small packages onto transport trucks

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Up to 1 year of related experience preferred, but not required
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift moderate loads, and work safely in an industrial warehouse environment
• Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
• Prior experience in a shipping/receiving or stockroom environment
