WHO YOU ARE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade or technical accreditations in small tool, small equipment, farm equipment, automotive or other related fields.
- Experience repairing small-engines for tools & equipment that require mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
- Knowledge of the concrete construction industry is preferred including experience repairing trowel machines, concrete vibrators, cut saw, etc.

Must be self-motivated and the ability to organize daily routine.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturer parts and mechanical owner’s manuals including hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and provide excellent customer service.

Proven critical thinking skills in order to properly diagnose and repair equipment.

Ability to work as a team player.

Ability to operate a forklift.

Ability to work with a sense of urgency while also completing work accurately, safely and thoroughly.

Must own tools applicable to position.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Receive customer equipment for repairs by obtaining all pertinent information.
- Examine equipment for estimates of repairs needed and provide required parts list to Service Manager.
- Diagnose repairs based on examination of equipment, customer comments and manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Repair equipment efficiently, accurately, ethically and safely.
- Complete repaired equipment within established estimate.
- Report and document all additional work performed from original estimate.
- Ensure all parts used are accurately reported on the service order or equipment diagnosis form.
- Prepare new equipment for sale or display.
- Service and maintain rental fleet of equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of customer equipment.
- Enroll in continued industry training and education with manufacturers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work and locker area.
- Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual customer billing-hour goals as set by the Service Manager.
- Perform any other duties as may be required, from time to time, by the Service Manager.
