We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Electrician to join our growing team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical systems, with a specific focus on Air Handler Units (AHUs) and duct work installation and maintenance. This role involves working on a variety of HVAC systems, ensuring proper installation, wiring, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

     Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in Air Handler Units (AHUs) and associated duct work.

     Perform wiring of electrical components such as motors, relays, switches, and control panels within AHUs.

     Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to install, maintain, and troubleshoot systems.

     Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems.

     Ensure the proper functioning of electrical equipment, maintaining compliance with safety standards and local building codes.

     Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems in Air Handler Units and associated duct work.

     Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose root causes, and provide solutions in a timely manner.

     Work with project managers and other team members to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.

     Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to company and regulatory standards.

     Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and system condition.

Qualifications:

     High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is a plus).

     Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification preferred.

     Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Electrician or similar role with a focus on HVAC systems.

     Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.

     Strong experience with wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in AHUs and related HVAC equipment.

     Solid knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards.

     Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

     Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

     Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

     Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor with clients and co-workers.
