Key Responsibilities:
- Figure out what needs fixing on heavy and light construction equipment.
- Roll up your sleeves and perform repairs and maintenance to get equipment back in action.
- Get involved in everything from setup to diagnostics to replacing parts on Caterpillar diesel-powered equipment.
- Work solo or with a mentor in the shop, or head out into the field in a company truck to help customers on-site.
Requirements
Eligibility:
This opportunity is for transitioning active-duty U.S. service members—officer or enlisted, any branch. You just need at least 90 days left in service and approval from your unit or command.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong mechanical know-how with a solid grip on electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and fix what’s broken.
- Dependable, with a strong work ethic and a focus on safety.
- At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, transmissions, track systems, and more.
- Military experience with Caterpillar or other heavy equipment brands? That’s a big plus.
- You’ll need to bring your own tools to get the job done right.

- Hourly pay ranging from $16/hr to $40/hr, based on your experience.
