Position Purpose

The Operations Specialist in Direct Sales supports the sales team by streamlining processes, managing order workflows, and ensuring accurate sales data and reporting. They will act as a critical link between sales, logistics, and customer service, addressing operation challenges and maintaining efficiency. This role is key to enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving sales objectives through optimized operations.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Places Sales Orders in SAP in line with ExWorks forecast
  • Request spec changes on supply to meet customer orders in hand
  • Request build swap on factory to meet the forecast requirements
  • Coordinate attachment swaps in the month between Supply and Inside Sales
  • Coordinates attachment forecasting with Inside Sales and Material Planner
  • Confirms specs on the factory are accurate for customer purchase order
  • Facilitates Supply allocating in line with commercial agreements with customers promise dates
  • Manage damage/repaired machines against our inventory
  • Send field team machine availability to sell

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or a related field
  • Must pass any drug test, background check and any pre-employment testing as applicable

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or marketing
  • Knowledge of customer support systems/procedures or channels of distribution

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Customer oriented due to considerable amount of customer contact
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to think outside the box
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication with an emphasis on phone skills
  • Flexible and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Identify and succinctly report emerging and evolving trends and customer/dealer feedback beyond fixed metrics
  • Likes to work hard and has a thirst for knowledge
  • Active listener

 

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
