Outside Sales Representative - Construction - Base Salary to 90k/year - Houston, TX
Our client is a multinational access, scaffolding, and forming/shoring partner to industrial, commercial, and infrastructure customers. A footprint of 340 locations across 25 countries enables safer setups, faster schedules, and tighter cost control on maintenance and capital projects. Their commitment and service help customers maximize productivity and safety on every job site.
They are adding an Outside Sales Representative to grow revenue across refineries, petrochemical facilities, and the contractor ecosystem that supports those sites. This is a technical, field facing sales role selling inclusive contracts that combine equipment rental and service support, with a warm book of business to inherit and expand.
Responsibilities:
Own territory growth through prospecting, relationship building, and project pursuit across industrial and select commercial accounts.
Develop and deepen relationships with refinery and petrochemical stakeholders, as well as GCs and specialty contractors working inside those sites.
Identify and qualify upcoming work, get in early with customers, and convert opportunities into booked contracts.
Conduct jobsite walks to gather scope details, take measurements, and confirm access requirements for proposals.
Build detailed proposals that align equipment selection, logistics, and service needs with site requirements.
Manage the sales cycle end to end, from first conversations through contract award and kickoff.
Coordinate closely with operations to ensure smooth execution, including scope clarity and change order capture when needed.
Act as a visible, trusted partner to customers, reinforcing safety expectations and responsive service.
Qualifications:
Proven success selling into industrial environments such as refineries and petrochemical plants, ideally involving rentals, service, or labor inclusive scopes.
Comfortable in a technical, hands-on sales process that requires jobsite walks, measuring, and equipment fit discussions.
Ability to estimate and scope your own jobs with strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of CRMs and disciplined pipeline management.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort discussing structural and access requirements with customers.
Ability to safely climb structures and stairs and navigate job sites to evaluate needs
Compensation:
Base salary in the 70k - 90k/year range plus uncapped commission
