AquaTerra Outdoors, is an industry leading, international award-winning, premier boutique landscape architectural design + build firm in Carrollton, Texas.  We are seeking an experienced Pool Constuction superintendent to join our fun and hardworking team!


Job Summary 

The Construction Superintendent role is responsible for planning and executing assigned construction projects from pre-construction through completion on time and in budget while keeping in alignment with AquaTerra standards and proper construction techniques. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Pre-Construction

  • Study plans and perform a pre-site inspection prior to Pre-Construction meeting for questions/clarification on building specifications
  • Attend In-Office and Site Pre-Construction meetings for assigned projects

Construction

  • Update existing schedules for assigned projects in project management software weekly
  • Practice pro-active communication with clients
  • Communicate and coordinate with Trade Partners to ensure timely tracking of construction phases
  • Regular visits to job sites. 
  • Record site visits and project progress in project management software
  • Monitor work performed by Trade Partners for adherence to AquaTerra standards, plans and proper construction techniques
  • Code and submit all project related receipts to Project Coordinator
  • Ensure in advance that materials/equipment needed for construction phases are available

Post-Construction

  • Timely completion of punch list
  • Participate in client Orientation meeting
  • Attend and contribute to Project Completion meeting
  • Manage warranty claims if assigned

 

Required Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in pool construction (experience with landscape, structures and hardscape are a plus)
  • PHTA or Watershapes University Certification desired
  • Knowledge of proper construction techniques, building materials and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Proven ability to manage several projects at a time while adjusting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Current driver license and clean driving record for the past 2 years
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
