PRECONSTRUCTION COORDINATOR
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Preconstruction Coordinator (PCC) is a vital role within our Preconstruction department, providing the necessary skills and experience to support the pursuit of lump-sum, GMP, CMaR, and other project opportunities. The PCC will be primarily responsible for organizing and maintaining preconstruction project records and documentation, ensuring seamless communication and distribution of information to all stakeholders. As the primary point of contact for new subcontractors, the PCC plays a key role in establishing a professional, positive atmosphere and fostering strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, owners, and design professionals. This position reports directly to the Preconstruction Engineer.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Set up and maintain project documentation on cloud storage platforms such as RedTeam and other relevant platforms used for bid solicitation.

Print and order project documentation to support estimators in the bidding process.

Create bid books and transfer books for project teams.

Develop ITBs (Invitations to Bid) and RFQs (Requests for Quotes) for subcontractors, ensuring the right subcontractors are selected and that adequate coverage is provided for all project scopes.

Regularly communicate with subcontractors about their interest and involvement in preconstruction efforts, following up diligently to review project scope and pricing prior to bid submission.

Monitor project updates, addenda, and RFIs (Requests for Information), ensuring timely communication and document updates.

Maintain plan rooms and share any changes with subcontractors to ensure everyone is up-to-date.

Assist estimators in creating RFIs and bid documents.

Proofread and assemble final bid forms and packages for submission to owners.

Update and manage subcontractor information within the company’s database.

Assist in identifying and prequalifying new subcontractors.

Support the marketing and business development teams in preparing and submitting project proposals.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree (A.S. / A.A.) preferred.

Project internship or field experience preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and adapt to various software systems.

Familiarity with Google Cloud Storage and preconstruction processes and procedures.

Experience with subcontractor database management and bid solicitation processes.

Basic understanding of building practices, systems, and assemblies.
