Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corp’s opening for a field-sales role involves traveling for customer consultations and site visits, while remaining a fully office-based position. The successful candidate will handle a territory, build deep industry relationships, and deliver creative solutions for projects. Office time will be required at our home location in Bellevue, OH for sales meetings, training sessions, and project documentation and quote development. The ideal candidate must have problem solving abilities, confidence to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, and high ambition levels with great people skills.  

 

The position involves sales of architectural windows, doors, storefront and curtainwall products and services to prospects at a given territory in Ohio and surrounding states as needed. Training in product line and industry provided.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive growth by identifying and establishing new contacts, leading to new customers.
  • Call on building owners through face-to-face contact, email, and phone to identify opportunities early.
  • Determine owner’s needs, survey openings, recommend solutions, and deliver project quotes.
  • Provide follow-up on quoted projects to answer customer questions and secure orders.
  • Manage new and existing accounts by providing pricing and customer support.
  • Track upcoming sales/projects, market segments, and competitive activity to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Utilize company CRM program to log and track client information and quotes.
  • Travel required throughout Ohio/surrounding states in company-provided vehicle. Overnight stays as required.
  • Attend & participate in Conferences and Conventions as required.

 

What We Expect: 

  • Proven success and experience related to commercial construction or a related field desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and jobsite dynamics helpful. Ability to translate field surveys and blueprint specifications into precise project quotes and documentation.
  • Experience or education in marketing is helpful.
  • Current driver’s license with minimal points on record as required by insurance carriers.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and organized project records while traveling and representing the company.

  • A unique and creative mindset, self-confidence, flexibility, and determination
  • Exceptional communication internally and with customers, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
