OB SUMMARY
The Project Superintendent assumes responsibility for coordinating project site management and constructability of
the specific construction project and fulfills his/her responsibility through daily attendance and oversight of all
operations at the job site. The Project Superintendent is the leader of the project site and must conduct him/herself
as the party responsible for the coordination of all construction.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS
High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Knowledge and/or experience in construction project management.
TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIPS
OSHA-30 HR Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain a strong and close relationship with the Project Team,
subcontractors, as well as the Owners and with the consultants associated with the project.
Considers themselves to be equally the defender of the Company’s interest and the focal point for
impressions formed by the Owners, architects and potential clients in the community with respect to
their projects.
Decisive understanding of project plans and specifications.
Proficiency in managing multiple timelines and projects simultaneously, setting priorities and working
with little or no direct, daily supervision.
Proficiency in using office equipment, Microsoft Office, PROCORE and will follow all established
protocol utilizing provided project management software and will ensure complete documentation in
strict compliance with corporate procedures.
Must have basic knowledge of OSHA Requirements, EEOC Laws, Local, City and State Ordinances
and ensure compliance with ACS standards and practices.

Walk, sit, use hands, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and be able to view computer screens, mobile
devices and other electronic equipment for extended period of time where visual strain may result.
Must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the construction site.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights up to twenty (20) pounds independently and (50)
May require some travel within and outside of assigned geographical area. Will be required to conduct and
attend training programs, business meetings, etc. May require airline travel, out of town and/or overnight
trips.
Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation.
Will be periodically called upon to work outside of normal working hours.
Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work problems on a daily basis. Emotional stability and
personal maturity are important attributes in this position.

The noise level in the work enviornment is ususally moderate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Review construction documents for constructability and information conflict issues.
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
Will ensure that an Allied Orion Representative is always on site while trades are working.
Communicate continuously with the Project Manager regarding procurement requirements, subcontractor,
document, and budget issues, site conditions, schedule updates, billings and changes.
Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality
workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
Properly document and notify Subcontractors of work deficiencies, safety infractions and unacceptable
behavior while on site (i.e. eating in buildings).
Maintain construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
Efficiently coordinate all subcontractors, order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout
the process.
Maintain positive relationships and communicates in a professional manner at all times with customers,
subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.
Maintain OSHA 30-HR certification. Allied Construction Services will provide training/test.
Prepare schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.
Monitor, enforce, and promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards
immediately.
Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies.
Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office.
The Project Superintendent will not direct subcontractors or suppliers to perform additional work outside of
their contracted scope that will result in additional cost without an executed change order.
