We
are seeking a skilled Revit Structural Designer with a minimum of 2 years of
experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be
proficient in Autodesk Revit, with a strong ability to set up and manage
structural models, coordinate with architectural teams, and produce
high-quality structural drawings and details. This role requires technical
expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with
structural engineers and other disciplines to deliver accurate and efficient
designs
This position requires in-office work at
our Nampa, Idaho location, fostering collaboration and team integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Model Setup and Coordination:
Create and set up Revit structural models for new projects,
ensuring proper configuration and adherence to project standards.
Link and coordinate architectural models within Revit to
ensure seamless integration with structural designs.
Plan Views and Templates:
- Develop and manage plan views and plan view templates to
streamline project workflows and maintain consistency.
Parametric Titleblocks:
- Design and implement parametric titleblocks to support
project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
Structural Modeling:
- Model structural framing, including beams, columns, braces,
and other components, with precision and accuracy.
- Build and modify structural families to meet
project-specific requirements.
Drafting and Detailing:
- Coordinate drafting views with corresponding plan views to
ensure alignment and clarity.
- Create and modify structural details as directed by
structural engineers, ensuring compliance with design specifications and
industry standards.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and
other stakeholders to resolve coordination issues and ensure project
deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
Quality Control:
- Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and
compliance with project standards and codes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Revit Structural
Designer or similar role in structural engineering or design.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with demonstrated
experience in:
- Setting up and managing Revit structural models.
- Linking and coordinating architectural models.
- Creating plan views, templates, and parametric titleblocks.
- Modeling structural framing and building structural
families.
- Coordinating drafting views and creating/modifying
structural details.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and
best practices for structural design.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and
manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural
Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other BIM software is a
plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with interdisciplinary coordination (e.g., MEP,
architectural) in Revit.
- Experience with Dynamo and macro building to enhance
efficiency within Revit
- Familiarity with structural analysis software integration
with Revit.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with
project teams and clients.
