Position Overview
The Construction Operations Associate Site Manager is responsible for the general construction, build coordination and vendor management of assigned venue. This position requires a well-versed event management background, including event operations, site construction and design, vendor management, client hospitality and guest services along with the ability to function in high pressure environments. This position contributes to the overall LVGP event management plan, interfaces with respective partners and clients to ensure event objectives are met or exceeded. The candidate will exhibit and promote the core LVGP values and priorities while providing leadership to vendors and teams during the event.
Candidates must relocate to Las Vegas, NV for duration of project.
We are hiring 5 positions with dates starting at the beginning of August, September and October (depending on the venue hired to oversee) and all working through mid-December.
Responsibilities:
- General management and operational flow of specific LVGP venue
- Develop and execute a comprehensive venue management plan overseeing all aspects of venue operations, with oversight from Site Director, including but not limited to the following:
- Oversite and management of all construction aspects including but not limited to all Grandstand and Hospitality Areas, Venue Service Locations, and Integration of track and venue perimeters
- Management of a comprehensive load in/out schedule for the assigned venue
- Awareness and leadership of safety protocols, OSHA standards and requirements
- Assist in permit compliance - submission, deadlines, meetings, and presentations for federal and local agencies
- Ensure all ADA accessibility standards and needs are met venue wide
- Manage and tracking budget costs and ensure detailed outlines of needs are captured, tracked for assigned vendors
- Deliver the project on time and in budget
- Work in conjunction with other departments on related projects including but not limited to the following:
- Traffic Management, Event Schedule, Equipment and Logistics, Power, Audio/Video Requests, Sponsor & Partner Requests
- Management of day-to-day staffing and venue needs
- Work with Operations Director & Signage Manager to develop, produce and implement venue way- finding signage
- Other duties, projects and events as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of working large multi-venue, multi-day events/festivals on a major operational team.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has exceptional follow through skills.
- Highly organized with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of OSHA compliance and standards. OSHA 30 hour certifications a plus, but not required
- Heavy equipment operator certifications are a plus, but not required
- Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and pivot to address new situations and concerns positively and proactively
- Solid computer/database and clerical skills, Proficient in MS Office products
- Flexibility in work hours and availability.
