As a Senior Category Supplier Manager (CSM) for Construction Trades Sourcing, you will accomplish category strategies. You will also lead labor-ecosystem risk mitigation and procurement initiatives supporting Micron’s large-scale building projects in the western U.S. This role supports major construction initiatives in Boise, Idaho—including mega fab construction, tool install, sustaining labor, and other large projects—while driving workforce development, labor‑program implementation, and key partnerships with unions, merit‑based organizations, community groups, and industry collaborators.
Lead category strategy execution, supplier governance, and procurement planning initiatives for construction trade labor across western U.S. projects.
Analyze sourcing trends, labor‑market conditions, supplier performance, and workforce development opportunities to advise category decisions.
Drive and support negotiations for contract renewals, pricing, labor agreements, and labor‑program requirements.
Provide labor‑rate benchmarking, should‑cost analysis, and cost‑trend insights to internal collaborators.
Partner with unions, schools, merit-based organizations, and local networks to expand the skilled-trades pipeline and secure program funding.
Ensure compliance with Project Labor Agreements, labor‑program requirements, and workforce‑stability initiatives accomplished by prime builders.
Build and maintain positive relationships across general contractors, subcontractors, labor organizations, and community collaborators to strengthen workforce reliability and supply‑chain resilience.
This role will use AI to streamline manual program management tasks, surface trends in labor performance data faster, and improve the speed and quality of sourcing and workforce‑related decisions
3–5 years of experience in procurement, category management, construction sourcing, or trade‑labor program management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in category management and strategic sourcing for construction, capital projects, or industrial environments.
Experience coordinating construction labor programs (e.g., workforce development, union engagement, labor agreements, compliance).
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills with demonstrated cost‑management capability.
Strong communication skills with experience managing relationships across prime builders, subcontractors, unions, and community partners.
Experience supporting labor programs for mega fabs, semiconductor facilities, or other sophisticated industrial construction environments.
Prior involvement in workforce development initiatives or skilled‑trades pipeline expansion.
Experience applying should‑cost models and labor‑market analytics to support sourcing decisions.
Familiarity with Project Labor Agreements and execution of labor‑program compliance requirements.
Experience collaborating with industry, community, and government partners to address workforce barriers.
Proven ability to support multi‑site or large‑volume construction labor programs.
