Job Summary: Peak Water Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Support SpecialistΒ to support the successful design, planning, and execution of water and wastewater projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Service Technicians, Contractors, and Customers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of industry regulations. Effective communication with diverse stakeholders and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key to excelling in this role.

Duties: General responsibilities will be to work with other project managers, application engineers, field technicians, internal staff, and outside sales personnel to support owners, consulting engineers, and contractors in the development, design, and execution of projects involving water and sewer collection/distribution, pumping, treatment, storage, and disposal.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers to define project requirements, scope, and goals. Act as a liaison between teams, owners, engineers, and municipalities to ensure efficient communication and execution.
  • Project Management Support: Monitor project progress, address issues, and assist in removing roadblocks to maintain timelines and quality standards.
  • Technical Writing and Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
  • Procurement and Cost Estimation: Oversee procurement processes, obtain equipment quotes, and assist in budget preparation and cost estimation for public and private projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
  • System Specifications: Assist in the development of system specifications and designs.
  • Administrative Support: Track working hours, plans, and expenses, and assist in administrative tasks to support the project management team.

The position involves working closely with personnel within PWS, APE, partners, vendors, clients, regulators, engineers, etc. Must be able to work with a team through the entire timeline of a project, including the steps of quoting, ordering, construction planning, installation support, change orders, start-up services, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, etc.

Location & Travel: There is a requirement for limited travel periodically for field operations, project meetings, training, conferences/trade shows, etc. Typical expenses, including per diem will be provided while traveling.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree desired, preferably in an engineering or construction-related field.

Must be able to use general business software (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, quoting software, Adobe Acrobat).

Experience: Strong preference for applicants with previous experience for a manufacturer or supplier of pumping or other fluid handling/treatment systems OR proven experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager. Engineering backgrounds such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, civil construction, and water/wastewater system operations that demonstrate familiarity with water/wastewater treatment processes and equipment, electrical controls, pumps, estimating, and/or sales would also be of preference
