We are actively hiring experienced Single Hand Welders for industrial projects across Montana, including Great Falls, Billings, and Culbertson. Consistent work available on water treatment facilities, power plants, structural steel, and other industrial infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibilities:
● Perform high-quality welding on pipe and structural components following project specifications and safety standards.
● Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
● Set up and operate welding equipment using FCAW, GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW processes.
● Complete fit-up, tacking, and full welds with minimal supervision.
● Conduct visual inspections to ensure welds meet quality and code requirements.
● Work safely in outdoor environments and industrial job sites.
● Collaborate with foremen, pipefitters, inspectors, and field crews to maintain schedule and production goals.
● Perform related tasks such as rigging, grinding, fabrication, and material handling as needed.
Requirements:
● 3+ years of verified welding experience in an industrial or heavy construction environment.
● Proficient in FCAW, GTAW, SMAW processes.
● Ability to read and follow construction drawings, weld maps, and welding procedures.
● Working knowledge of applicable welding codes (AWS, ASME, API).
● Must successfully pass weld test prior to employment.
● Ability to work outdoors year-round, climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
● Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with water treatment plants, power generation, industrial infrastructure, or structural steel projects.
● Current or previous welding certifications.
● OSHA 10/30, MSHA, or other site-specific safety credentials
