The Primary Responsibilities of this Role are:
- Site preparation, grading and access road construction
- Underground utility installation including power and fiber conduit
- Place and compact subgrade for building and equipment foundation
- Place forms and rebar for building and equipment foundations
- Drive, operate and maneuver heavy equipment (CDL is a plus)
- Read and interpret grade stakes, site markings, maps, blueprints, and or drawings to move soil according to defined specifications
- Utilize the appropriate and/or assigned construction machinery to safely, efficiently, and productively excavate, move, and grade soils in accordance with the defined parameters
- Properly set up and utilize grade control devices to assist in reaching the defined grade tolerances
- Use and understand all safety requirements of excavations and trenches
- Perform pre and post equipment checks and reports equipment issues to supervisors
- Work with Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, and team to ensure job is done to specifications
- Operation of skid steers, backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and compaction equipment
