This position in particular, will be the Sr. Project Manager - Hard Bid.  It is a specialized area of focus within our business and requires someone who has prior experience and knowledge of the unique challenges, documentation requirements, estimating, scheduling and staffing requirements for this particular type of construction.  This position oversees and directs all phases of JOC construction projects, and will typically have responsibility for multiple simultaneous projects. This position will design and implement project plans; communicate concerns regarding project cost, staffing, and scheduling directly with contractors/designers; prepare project status reports and work to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications. 

Are you a fit?

  • Experience with estimating multiple projects simultaneously; performing and managing all take offs, complete scope of evaluation, soliciting and evaluating bids, cost evaluations, coordination with field operations and interactions with owners, engineers, and architects.  
  • Experience managing RFIs, project accounting, owner pay applications, projections, change proposal requests and more. 
  • The ability to flex and shift focus simultaneously and continuously throughout a standard work day to maintain oversite on all open projects
  • Self-motivated to achieve customer satisfaction without sacrificing safety or quality. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the client as the main point of contact from project initiation through close-out. 
  • Ability to think on your feet to find solutions to named problems and identify possible unnamed problems that could arise and find solutions. 
  • Must be capable of focusing on small details and shift to big picture views quickly with ease and control
  • Must be tolerant of high stress-levels, have the ability to intervene and find solutions in situations of conflict and hold individuals accountable to an establish schedule and budget. 
  • The ability to delegate work to the appropriate level, follow up on assignments and communicate effectively with all levels of employees internally and with the client and public. 
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices, specifically JOC (job order contracting) project management strongly desired.
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
