The Strategic Sourcing Sr. Specialist for purchases of various goods and services related to Client’s c-store operations. Responsible for materials and services sourcing, cost maintenance, and supplier performance management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Lead sourcing of commodities (materials & services), leverage corporate and regional spend by assembling and leading a cross functional commodity team, develop requirements and RFP's, review and analyze proposals and bids, negotiate and secure executive approval of procurement strategies to maximize financial benefit to the company. •Determine and acquire additional resources. Recommend appropriate contracting and sourcing practices to maximize value. •Plan and execute transactional procurements. •Address overall supplier performance issues. Manage the performance of others in contribution of sourcing events and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives. •Negotiate effective, implementable contracts with appropriate terms and conditions, meeting all legal requirements. •Award bids and develop negotiation strategies. •Consult with business unit leaders in proper Procurement and Supply Chain practices. •Develop compliance plans. Promote compliance with all corporate procurement policies and procedures. •Continually research, assess and document market characteristics and internal demand for key commodities. •Leverage industry associations, interview suppliers. •Research market trends and project opportunities and threats to business based on market trends and then adjust sourcing strategy to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications: •BS/BA in Engineering, Supply Management, or Business •5-8 years of experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent in related areas including purchasing, service contracting, negotiations, and contract development. •Strong leadership ability. Strong strategic and analytical skills. Advanced project management and financial analysis skills. •Microsoft Office applicatiion (with emphasis on Excel and Power Point skills), demonstrated negotiation skills for multi-million dollar contracts. Knowledge of eSourcing, contracting and p2p applications (Best in class applications a plus)
