Job Type: Full-Time (Mon - Fri - (Potential for 45 hours - 50 hours a week at least) Weekend potential

Salary: $85k - $95k + Additional Bonus Potential (Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor/control construction to ensure project is built on schedule within budget.
  • Coordinate activities with the owner, subcontractors, and company personnel.
  • Work with concept drawings through completion on a fast-track schedule.
  • Manage & coordinate submission and approval of submittals with the Architect.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
  • Determine the most cost-effective methods and use of personnel, material, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Manage financial aspects of construction contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses etc.) to protect company interest and maintain good relationships with client.
  • Monitor and control workmanship and quality control.
  • Prepare and/or monitor project schedule.
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct routine job inspections.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent company in project meetings along with assisting in negotiations and strategy meetings.
  • Supervise and assign specific areas of responsibility to project team.
  • Manage and enforce company safety policies on all projects.
  • Perform weekly safety inspections.
  • Manage, train, and supervise team according to company policy. Empower team members. Assure that the team members obtain technical and resource assistance as needed.
  • Assign and Maintain Daily Manpower Schedules with coordination with Project Managers, and personnel.
  • Maintain daily logs of all daily activities and work with project managers in developing weekly owner reports.

Qualifications:
  • 1 - 5 years experience with managing commercial construction work.
  • Strong background or training in civil site work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment planning and construction methods.
  • Able to work with concept drawings through completion of construction on a fast-track schedule.
  • Able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of construction and project management.
  • Able to manage all construction disciplines including civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, roofing, etc.
  • Able to effectively lead a construction team.
  • Able to handle change orders and negotiations with subcontractors.
  • Adept and comfortable at solving problems, creative at finding solutions to challenges, and flexible when resolving conflicts.
  • Able to make good decisions based on good analysis of relative factors.
  • Able to communicate ideas and give specific directions effectively.
  • Able to deal with frustration and job pressures.
  • Self-motivated with the skills to motivate others.
  • Strong business & financial acumen.
  • Able to work without supervision.
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
