Weyerhaeuser's MDF facility has a career opportunity for a Team Coordinator.  This position serves as the focal point for a rotational team and is an hourly position.   Responsibilities include coordinating resources needed to sustain operation of the mill or recover from upset conditions, while still completing regularly scheduled tasks. The Team Coordinator significantly impacts their team’s performance by addressing issues and concerns effectively and timely. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager, with various resources available to deal with issues and concerns as they arise.

Hourly Pay Rate\: $39.46

Key Functions:

  • Role model all standards/processes and on-the-job behavior by living our core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability and inclusion.  Maintain a positive, inclusive work environment with accountability for results.
  • Support, coach and provide timely feedback and direction to team members.
  • Generate commitment and motivation of team members toward a common goal while promoting teamwork.
  • Maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Provide guidance for process improvement by encouraging ownership at the peer level.
  • Facilitate pre-shift meetings to ensure safety, upset conditions and coverage issues are discussed. 
  • Ensure the mill status reports are shared before leaving the mill site.
  • Communicate or report all safety, property damage and environmental forms are completed before leaving.
  • Monitor teams’ overall performance and provide feedback to team members timely.
  • Coordinate with team members to effectively deal with mill issues.
  • Awareness of team conflicts and address concerns in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure all basic mill policies are followed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for injury, fire, environmental concern, team member issue and significant downtime or upset conditions.
  • Facilitate issue resolution conversation peer-to-peer as needed. 
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and present data
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability in utilizing computers in a business environment
  • Availability to work a rotating schedule, which includes nights, weekends and holidays
