We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Construction Project Manager to develop their skills while overseeing projects at three of our lumber facilities between Broken Bow, OK and Gibsland, LA. The ideal candidate will be looking for a full-time temporary summer position and have some experience in overseeing construction projects, managing relationships with contractors, and tracking budgets and timelines. They will travel on a regular basis between Broken Bow, OK; DeQueen, AR; and Gibsland, LA and some overnight stays will be required.  

Main responsibilities:  

  • Coordinate construction project work between contractors and site leaders
  • Troubleshoot issues and answer questions, escalating issues to management
  • Proactively seek updates on budget/timeline/contract details and communicate to relevant parties
  • Drive progress and ensure standards and expectations are met
  • Conduct quality inspections as needed to meet compliance requirements

Required skills and qualifications:  

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Project management or construction project management certification (in-progress or completed) is preferred.  
  • Experience: Prior experience in managing construction projects is preferred, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other project management tools or software.  
  • Skills: Strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.  Knowledge of construction industry regulations, processes, and best practices is preferred.
