The Traveling General Foreman is responsible for managing electrical crews across multiple job sites, ensuring installation is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and codes. This hands-on leadership role requires extensive travel within Texas to support jobsite execution and field productivity.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Focus on maintaining the Enterprise Electrical Safety Standards

·       Lead, direct, and coordinate field personnel across various project sites to meet project goals and deadlines.

·       Plan daily and weekly crew activities in alignment with project schedules and budgets.

·       Interpret and work from construction drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.

·       Oversee material handling, tool usage, equipment needs, and labor distribution.

·       Ensure work meets NEC standards and complies with all safety and QA/QC policies.

·       Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades to resolve field conflicts and adjust schedules as needed.

·       Conduct job site safety meetings, enforce OSHA guidelines, and report incidents or delays.

·       Mentor and train electricians and apprentices, fostering workforce development.

·       Maintain job logs, crew timecards, and progress reports accurately and on time.

·       Safey Requirements: Employees personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 – 250 lbs., Class 1A – 300 lbs.)

·       Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers along with constantly moving your feet

·       Work in confined areas (Switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics)

·       Perform work at various heights, up to 90’

·       Work from all types of ladders, aerial lifts, scaffolding and/or elevated platforms


Skills and Qualification

·       TDLR journeyman Electrical License (Required)

·       Minimum of 5+ years documented field work in commercial and/or industrial work. 

·       Project values ranging from $5M – over $40M

·       Punctual, motivated and detail oriented

·       Possess strong interpersonal skills to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
