CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: LEAPROS has been engaged by a highly successful, publicly-traded company in their quest for an entrepreneurial-minded VP, Corporate controller. This high exposure position will oversee all corporate accounting and reporting functions while reporting directly to the CFO. To qualify, candidates must have a strong background in corporate accounting, SEC Reporting, and operational accounting, with a proven ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic oversight and analysis of all operational accounting 
  • Oversee SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
  • Oversee the corporate accounting team and all related accounting activities
  • Provide input and advise on all growth initiatives, strategy, and M&A work
  • Work closely with the team to ensure effective and efficient month-end close and accounting practices
  • Prepare meaningful and insightful presentations for Executive Leadership Team
  • Work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the identification of functional, organizational and/or procedural improvements across the organization

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 8-10 years of applicable experience
  • Active CPA
  • 3+ years in public audit and accounting leadership experience in complex, publicly-traded companies
  • Demonstrated experience in a high transaction environment. Strong understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators
  • Demonstrated strength working cross-functionally to drive issue resolution,
  • Demonstrated initiative in driving results, and autonomously solving problems
