Description

The primary responsibility of the role is to identify opportunities and develop relationships within the real estate community that align with RCG’s target project types.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Reporting: Tracking current pipeline of proposals sent and backlog across all three offices
  • Reporting: Tracking daily/weekly touches 
  • Reporting: Provide progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to Lee to present to the leadership team
  • Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new key business opportunities
  • Develop and Maintain Prospecting Strategy
  • Strategize and Research new key clients/trades affected by current economic factors that may influence market activity within DFW 
  • Establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations
  • Initiate and follow up on new business opportunities, relationships and proposals submitted internally and externally
  • Understand and continue learning the go, no go processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with upstream consultants (brokers, developers, project managers, architects, engineers, bankers, title, legal, property managers) and a select few subcontractors – primarily with others in the business development role
  • Leverage the organization’s relationship with existing clients (industry, not end users) by developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives
  • IE: meal meetings, private events, private invites, touches, etc.
  • Lead internal new business development meetings
  • Provide support to team throughout the sales and marketing process
  • Works closely with leadership, business development, preconstruction, and project management teams 
  • Lean on the team for project information and learning about RCG and construction in its entirety
  • Travel to jobsites to understand and be able to sell more efficiently 
  • Collaborate with the team on collateral, past job experiences to ensure it is relevant to the opportunity/ company we’re sending it to 
  • Travel as needed to Austin, Lafayette, and other remote areas to build client relationships
  • Attend industry events and other associations’ meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, and intel 
  • Hold leadership positions within industry affiliations to gain market share and exposure for Rudick
  • Engage RCG team in industry events/affiliations for larger presence



Requirements

Experience & Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years of professional working experience .
  • Relevant experience in commercial real estate is strongly preferred.
  • A strong base of industry client contacts, including CRE firms, brokers, owners, architects, civil engineers, developers, financial, and subcontractors.
  • Must have excellent sales skills and in-depth product and broad CRE knowledge.
  • Be a team player.
  • Valid Driver License.

  • Experience in developing marketing plans and responses to RFP’s.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to open doors for opportunities.
