M4 Engineering LLC is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Civil Engineering Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution by analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, managing contracts, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Founded in 2023, M4 Engineering is composed of two key principals Mike Pack and Mike McGraw together they have over 50 years in the Construction Industry. Our team has completed a wide variety of projects including commercial buildings, residential homes, and industrial facilities. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiations, reviews, and approvals to ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Purchasing: Coordinate with vendors to procure materials and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Tracking and Processing Changes: Monitor project changes and update estimates, contracts, and schedules accordingly.
  • Subcontractor Management: Select, negotiate with, and manage subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of project scope and specifications.
  • Prepare material and cost estimates based on project requirements and market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Manage bids from vendors and subcontractors, comparing proposals to determine the best value.
  • Use bid data to prepare detailed cost analyses and recommend cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Present prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders, providing clear explanations and justifications for cost estimates.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • 5 years ESTIMATING experience in project management in civil engineering and construction projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday 7:00a - 3:30p

  • Visit sites for pre-construction and bid meetings
