As the Superintendent, you are responsible for working closely with the Project Manager as well as the Project Engineer on scheduling, permitting, procurement, document control, and oversight. You will supervise the field construction of a project and ensure all schedules and deadlines are met and the quality of workmanship specified.

 

Responsibilities
  • Supervision of all field construction personnel whether directly or through a subcontractor’s foreman.
  • Present on-site during construction to continually evaluate workmanship on all projects to which assigned.
  • Achieving on-time, satisfactory results in accordance with codes, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Implementing the company’s quality control and safety plans at the construction sites.
  • Ensuring that all required and appropriate safety measures are implemented at the job site.
  • Implement security measures required by the customer and to prevent pilferage or vandalism.
  • Progress reporting as required by the contract.
  • Cooperatively accommodate reasonable requests of the owner’s authorized reps that are within the letter and meaning of the contract for the project.
  • Promote goodwill among laborers, craftsmen, subcontractors, and representatives of our company and those of the owner through cooperation and good-faith communication.
  • Immediately recognize substandard or potentially substandard or otherwise unacceptable materials and workmanship.

 

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on construction experience as a tradesman or working foreman on commercial projects.
  • 3 years of experience as a construction project superintendent.
  • Must have OSHA 30 certification or can obtain within 1 month of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction terms, scheduling, and planning concepts.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and understand project cost analysis.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Office Suite.
