Residential Construction Inspector (Independent Contractor – 1099)

Are you looking for a flexible opportunity to earn extra income while working independently in the field? We're hiring Residential Construction Inspectors to support active construction projects in the Houston metro area.

As an independent contractor (1099), you’ll play a key role in ensuring that construction work aligns with engineered plans. You’ll document site progress, take clear and detailed photos, and submit your inspection notes to our office team for review.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Visit residential construction sites during active phases
  • Review completed work and compare it to approved plans
  • Take photos and document inspection findings clearly
  • Submit notes and photos via email for processing

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Residential or Commercial Construction
  • Structural Inspections
  • Engineering or Technical Field Work

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and crawl into tight spaces
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and unfinished structures

What You’ll Need:

  • Reliable internet and email access
  • A smartphone for capturing and sending photos
  • A printer capable of printing 11x17 plans
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
