Job Summary:

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. This role also involves strategic planning, budget management, project execution, and adherence to industry regulations and standards.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction operations, focusing on strategic growth, process optimization, and setting performance standards.
  • Assess market and current business trends to develop effective strategies that align with financial goals, adjusting as necessary to maximize results.
  • Lead project management efforts, ensuring acceptable terms, profitability, and timely completion.
  • Monitor costs, revenue forecasts, and financial performance for construction projects, including managing change orders and financial tracking.
  • Direct department heads in overseeing project design, planning, construction, inspection, quality control, and timely delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to enhance efficiency and synergy between all departments and support teams.
  • Coordinate with the service department to ensure seamless project handovers and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings to assess performance, address issues, and implement improvements.
  • Regularly evaluate key performance indicators for sales, design, installation, operations, and project management.
  • Analyze the sales pipeline, resource use, cost control, and financial contribution to ensure business success.
  • Determine staffing requirements and coordinate with HR to fulfill business needs effectively.
  • Offer training and development for project managers, enhancing organizational and communication skills.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors, fostering alliances that align with our quality standards.
  • Schedule regular training to ensure all employees expand their technical knowledge and skills.
  • Oversee employee schedules, including utilization, vacations, and time management.
  • Drive a culture of open communication, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a high-performance culture with a strong focus on safety, quality, and accountability across all operations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications or extensive hands-on experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the industry, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Percentage of Completion (POC) Accounting is advantageous.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, project managers, officials, and contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage customer escalations.
  • Capability to recognize manpower needs and schedule bottlenecks.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and the ability to implement key initiatives effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as those established by the NFPA.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor others, maintaining high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in diverse environments, including industrial facilities, commercial sites, and outdoor settings.
  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
