Responsible for the full life cycle of the projects from estimating to closeout. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the project overall from beginning to end for our scope of work. In collaboration with Superintendents, you will have overall accountability for costs, schedule, safety, and quality of projects. Work well with clients/vendors while being flexible, positive, and an effective team member.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction project from planning to implementation.
  • Work with General Superintendent to allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, clients, and fabricators.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive, productive relations with project team members, client/general contractor, suppliers, etc. with fabricators to receive reasonable order costs.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
  • Work with General Superintendent to implement safety performance reviews.
  • Project performance includes estimating, budget, quality, schedule, safety, team management, closeout, and warranty.
  • Provide oversight of work performed for scope and ensure that quality standards for all deliverables are achieved within established schedules, budgets, and scope definitions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules through interface with clients/vendors, internal production, and fabricators.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the project including budget, labor hours, equipment, and material purchases, and ensure positive cash flow on the project.
  • Meet with clients/customers to identify potential barriers with resolutions that maximize production and minimize cost.
  • Manage multiple projects in unison while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Daily communication with the project team.
  • Arrive fit for duty and remain so for the entirety of the workday.
  • Immediately report any “near misses”, accidents, and/or injuries to your manager.
  • Talking, hearing, writing, reading, typing, computer, telephone, 2‐way radio, standing, walking, sitting, bending, using hands and fingers, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for up to 12 hours per day.

 

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience as a Project Manager in construction management required.
  • Working knowledge of various construction disciplines and safety regulations and how to apply them.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Effectively communicate with staff, team members, clients, and vendors.
  • Must be organized and document all aspects of projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communications abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A clear understanding of construction principles and to read and interpret contract documents.
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents for projects. This includes reading/understanding project plans, specifications, contract change orders, requests for information (RFI’s), and project schedules.
